Personally performed poetry

At Rhymes For Times, I love to compose heartfelt poetry for all sorts of circumstances and occasions, from romantic poetry to wedding, birthday and funeral poems. Poetry is a great medium for converting feelings into words, and a perfectly performed poem is the ideal way to bring those words to life on special occasions when we may feel tongue-tied ourselves!

That is why I offer a unique service where I will both write and recite your bespoke poem. You will benefit from my talent with the written (and rhyming) word combined with expert delivery by a published and passionate poet.

I will be delighted to attend your event anywhere in the UK – whether you are in Land’s End or John O’Groats for a fixed price (plus travel and accommodation expenses as applicable). For the same price, I will also be more than happy to travel to any location overseas.

The perfect poetry for any occasion

The types of recital that I offer fall into three broad categories – event recitals, poetry readings and commercial recitals.

Events

There are lots of different events which can be enhanced with a personal poetry recital:

Weddings

This is my most popular service and makes a wonderful addition to your ceremony or to your reception and speeches. Whatever type of wedding you are planning from formal to laid back, religious or secular; I will create the perfect, unique poem and deliver it in person, just for you and your new spouse.

And if you are looking for something different as a wedding gift for the happy couple, then look no further!

Funerals

For those of us who have experienced the sad occasion of a funeral, we know how important it is for these events to be deeply personal and to be a celebration of the life of the loved one we have lost.

When you commission a poem from Rhymes For Times, I will craft the words to perfectly reflect and celebrate life in a unique and focused way. The comfort of knowing that your poem will be personally and sensitively delivered by the poet can be a huge relief on the day.

Birthdays and anniversaries

A bespoke poem is a unique way to celebrate those special landmarks and rites of passage. A recital of your poem makes a great focal point for a gathering, dinner or for a party.

Poetry readings and gatherings

I am also available to host poetry evenings or to provide readings of a selection of poems from my published poetry book, ‘A Rhyming Explosion of Love and Emotion’. Commercial recitals
